A pioneering renewable energy company is breaking yet more boundaries by signing a new deal to help bring the arts to rural communities in Shropshire, Mid Wales and beyond.
Organic Energy, which is based in Welshpool, is launching a two year partnership with south Shropshire based Arts Alive from July 1.
Arts Alive organises more than 1,000 events a year including music, drama, dance, film, puppetry and storytelling.
It runs the popular Flicks in the Sticks touring cinema, which takes big screen films to rural locations in Shropshire and Herefordshire, Mid Wales, the Malvern Hills region and areas of Cheshire.
Organic Energy is one of the forerunners of wood pellet boiler technology in the UK. It is the sole UK distributor of the ÖkoFEN range of Pellematic automatic wood pellet boilers, having introduced the technology to the UK a decade ago.
A specially-created short film about the sponsorship partnership, which also features some of the ÖkoFEN products, will be broadcast before most Flicks in the Sticks films. The firm’s branding will also appear on Arts Alive tickets, leaflets and posters.
Organic Energy director Anne Tulett said: “Arts Alive is a wonderful organisation that is dedicated to providing high quality arts events to people in rural communities.
“The support of Organic Energy will help Arts Alive continue with its excellent work over the next two years and allow us to inform a new audience about the benefits and cost savings of renewable energy sources and our innovative wood pellet systems.
The sponsorship deal is for an initial two-year period and the Organic Energy advert can be viewed here.
Sian Kerry from Arts Alive said: “We believe that our two organisations fit very well together. Organic Energy provides sustainable energy technologies and Arts Alive helps to keep rural communities sustainable by offering access to quality, local community events.
“Our organisation is also environmentally friendly as we take arts to the people, so they don’t have to travel long distances to enjoy films and other events.”
Sian added: “We pride ourselves on giving a high quality experience to the Arts Alive audience and that is a value shared by Organic Energy. We are very grateful for the sponsorship and look forward to working with Organic Energy over the next two years.”
